can play our part (no matter how small) in reducing our consumption of
electricity.
If you’re serious about saving energy then you’ve come to the right place. We know it’s not just about the money; and the good news for energy consumers is that you can afford to be principled and still look after your own interests. As consumers, for the most part, we just don’t know where to start. We’re not really made aware which of our home comforts are the biggest home culprits! The general rule of thumb is this: turn off and tune out. Turn lights out and appliances off. Stand by settings can cost us about six per cent of our annual fuel bill! Even turning your thermostat down by a single degree will potentially reduce your home heating bill by about ten per cent. The savings don’t stop here.
